DOHA - 2023 IJF World Judo Championships Organizing Committee has unveiled on Thursday its brand and logo, that was inspired from the game culture and Doha city ’s amazing urban development.
This brand concept has been inspired from the letter "D", which symbolizes the first letter of Doha and stimulates Judo’s skills and movements, as the red and purple colors signalize the spirt and excitement of the sport.
In the same context, the Tatami, the mat that covers the judo flooring represents the background of all logo elements.
Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee and General Manager of the tournament said “We together feel confident that this international Judo event will hit the peak of success and will be an exceptional event. The logo fittingly combines the words (Judo and Doha) which could be read both vertically and horizontally”.
“We are grateful for the unwavering support of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, The president of Qatar Olympic Committee and the local organizing committee. Thankfully to our world class experience of hosting major sport events and our sport infrastructure, we are ready to organize a global judo event that will remain memorable” added Mr. Al Attiyah
The unveiling of 2023 World Judo Championships logo has come after Qatar has received the tournament’s flag in Uzbekistan’s capital city of Tashkent during the recent event’s closing ceremony in 2022.
As usual, Doha will keep up its promise to reach highest organization levels, by bringing together the game’s top stars, who will fight tooth and nail for top honors from May 7th-14th 2023, at the Ali bin Hamad Al-Attiyah Arena.
