The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) issued the workflow report of the trade sector for February 2018, which revealed the registration of 2,092 new companies. While the number of new main commercial registration records reached 1,617, the sub-commercial registration records newly issued amounted to 475.
While the limited liability companies constituted the largest part of main commercial registration records by 63%, the sole proprietor limited liability companies came second by 27%, whereas the individual enterprises came third by 9%.
The report further clarified that the number of commercial licenses issued, amended or renewed last February reached 6,095; the issued ones 1422, the amended 864 and the renewed 3,809.
