The Ministry of Interior announced today, Wednesday, the discovery of dozens of artifacts in Najaf Governorate.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that, “The Antiquities and Heritage Protection Police Directorate/ Najaf Al-Ashraf Antiquities and Heritage Department found (64) archaeological pieces, and a patrol from that department was sent, in conjunction with the governorate’s Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate, to receive them.”
It added, "Based on Law No. (55) of 2002, antiquities from citizens were received and documented duly by the Inspectorate."
