Doha: The Artificial Intelligence Digital Center at the National Museum of Qatar, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social Development and Family, launched a robotics and technology project to promote innovation in the field of technology among students from the Gaza Strip. The project, which targets students between the ages of 13 and 17, aims to open new horizons for young people in the Arab world, especially in the Gaza Strip, and provide them with digital skills and introduce them to the latest developments in the technology sector. HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Thani, Director of the National Museum of Qatar, said in a statement: "Based on our goal stemming from our commitment to providing unique opportunities and facilitating ways for children to access technology and innovation regardless of their backgrounds, we aspire to inspire a generation of thinkers and doers who will employ technology to make meaningful contributions to society while maintaining their c onnection to their cultural roots." "As these children embark on their path to innovation, we seek to ensure that they remain grounded in their identity and draw strength from their culture to achieve meaningful leadership in an increasingly digital world. It is a good step to host such initiatives at the National Museum of Qatar," he added, expressing his hope that the initiative will be a source of inspiration that illuminates the path of future generations and contributes to achieving their full potential. The Artificial Intelligence Digital Center called on the public to join its various activities, by participating in community awareness, volunteer work, and innovative technology development projects, as this initiative aims to cultivate a future generation characterized by confidence, flexibility, and a love of continuous learning, leading to leadership in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The initiative is in line with the objectives of Qatars third national development strategy, which focuses on promoting a knowledge-based economy, developing human resources, and encouraging innovation. The project also provides students in the Gaza Strip with the necessary skills in technology and robotics, and contributes to raising the next generation of innovators, as it supports Qatars broader vision of building a future based on knowledge and creativity. This project introduces students to the latest developments in the world of technology and robotics, as it seeks to provide them with basic skills such as problem solving, computational thinking, and engineering. Through these practical educational experiences, it aims to enhance their STEM competencies, as well as ignite their creativity. For his part, Ibrahim Qaddawi, a volunteer from University of Doha for Science and Technology and supervisor of robotics classes, said: "The initiative stems from the understanding that we live in a society that is witnessing continuous technological development, which allows us to understand and acknowledge the importance of realizing the field of robotics as an essential element for the future of development and global harmony," noting that opening new horizons to introduce young people in the Gaza Strip in particular, to the world of robotics is capable of expanding their creative horizons and exploring ideas that help them weave relationships and strive for peace through technological, economic and innovative spaces.
