Under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani, a memorial ceremony was held today, Monday, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the genocide of the Yazidis and the rest of the Iraqi components, committed by the terrorist ISIS gangs. Al-Sudani stressed in his speech that the invasion of the villages and towns of our Yazidi people in Sinjar and the village of Kojo revealed the conspiracy that targeted the diversity and peaceful coexistence of all Iraqis, as the people were subjected to unprecedented brutality to become scattered, between martyrs and wounded, and that terrorism targeted women and children, after which the crime of captivity occurred, which represented a scene in which chivalry, humanity and morals were absent, which was later revealed by the testimonies of the survivors. The Prime Minister explained that the determination and insistence of the security forces, which relied on the blessed fatwa of jihad by the supreme authority, Sayyid al-Sistani, made all Iraqis rush to liberate the land and people in other regions of Iraq, recalling the heroic work of the martyr Major General Pilot Majid al-Tamimi, who sacrificed himself to save those besieged in the mountain, and his blood mixed with the blood of his Yazidi family. Al-Sudani indicated that the genocide that occurred against the Yazidis and the rest of the components at the hands of ISIS gangs makes us demand the necessity of stopping the ongoing genocide of the people of Gaza at the hands of the Zionist occupation forces, which are today committing crimes similar to those committed by ISIS gangs, which confirms that the killers belong to one approach, which is the approach of hostility to humanity, and the lack of conscience and morals. He stressed that the patient Yazidi women exposed terrorism and are today an example to the whole world, with their steadfastness, strength and self-esteem, and the world has come to know that Iraqi women in general, and Yazidis in particular, are free and invincible women. He added: Our government has worked to do justice to all Iraqis, as part of the main task of the National Service Government, and we have established in the government program a commitment to supporting the Iraqi components. He stressed that we have taken many decisions and directives to provide a decent living and a dignified life for our Yazidi people, starting with the selection of a special advisor for their affairs in the Prime Minister's Office. He continued: We established the Sinjar and Nineveh Plain Reconstruction Fund, and we previously issued a decision to provide ownership of (14,500) housing units for the people of Sinjar, and yesterday we issued a directive to include all segments of the people of Sinjar and the Nineveh Plain with loans from the Real Estate Bank, the Housing Fund, government initiatives and Central Bank initiatives. He added that we also directed the expansion of the basic design of Sinjar district, in a way that does not cause any demographic change, and preserves the privacy of the areas of the original Iraqi components that have been deprived of this right throughout the years of the dictatorial regime. Al-Sudani stressed: We have supported the consolidation of the Yazidi presence in their historical areas, through a package of service decisions to rebuild and rehabilitate the areas, in order to receive the displaced. He continued: We also directed the opening of branches of most of the state's service, financial and banking institutions in Sinjar district, and granting job grades to the district's sons to appoint them in these institutions, and we issued directives to establish Sinjar University, to improve the district's reality in all fields. He explained that we directed the release of compensation for the destroyed homes of the displaced, and compensation for the affected areas, in proportion to the extent of the destruction, years of deprivation, and population density. He stressed: We activated the articles of the Yazidi Survivors Law, and formed specialized committees for all fil es related to the Yazidis, including the committee to search for the kidnapped and work to recover them.
