Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed that the door is open for Finnish companies to invest in all sectors, especially the energy sector, in which a contract was signed with Wärtsilä to maintain Samarra station. The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received, today, Monday, the Finnish Ambassador to Iraq, Anu Saarela, accompanied by a delegation representing the Finnish Wärtsilä company, which specializes in energy projects." During the meeting, bilateral relations and ways to develop them were discussed, especially in the fields of politics, investment, information technology and modern digital technologies, in which Finland has extensive experience. The Prime Minister stressed that the government has an integrated government program, and that the door is open for Finnish companies to invest in all sectors, especially the energy sector, in which a contract was signed with Wärtsilä to maintain Samarra station, and the need to start i t after it had been delayed since it was signed in 2019.
