Manama: Foreign Minister of Bahrain Abdullatif Al Zayani and his Portuguese counterpart Paulo Rangel discussed, in a phone call on Monday, ways to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the Security Council and international forums.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides also discussed the latest regional developments, the repercussions of closing the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation, and its impact on the global economy, international trade, and energy and food supplies.
