The three-year-old Purebred Arabian BAYAREQ (Madj Al Arab x Wahash) carried the colours of her owner Osama Omer El Dafea to Group 1 success when landing the Piechur Stakes – Footmans Award (Group One PA) at Stuzewiec Racecourse, Poland, on Sunday, September 5th.
Stepped up to 2,000m by her trainer Macie Kacpyzyk, BAYAREQ claimed a second consecutive success at the same track and was ridden to victory by jockey Dastan Sabatbekov. Following the withdrawal of PRIUS (Vasilev), only six went to post for the Group One contest. BAYAREQ scored by four lengths from NASH DU DOUZE (Assy) with ZOI (Assy) a further four and a half lengths back in third.
Bred by Amjad Al Jumaliy, BAYAREQ is by the Umm Qarn Purebred Arabian stallion and 5-time Gr.1 PA winner MAJD AL ARAB (Amer), who stands at Haras du Grand Courgeon in France. BAYAREQ is out of WAHASH, a daughter of the top racehorse and prolific stallion DJENDEL (Manganate).
