The Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan), one of the centers affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family's Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has received the Arabia CSR Award 2024 at an international forum on sustainable economy, held in Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award is one of the most prominent regional initiatives focusing on promoting the concept of social responsibility among companies operating in the Arab region. The Award recognizes responsible practices that aim to achieve social and environmental benefits and contribute to achieving sustainable development. This years edition is distinguished by its partnership with the Investment and Technology Promotion Offices (ITPOs) of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The first edition of the award was launched on September 25, 2019, coinciding with the World CSR Day. The award was received by Director of Support Services and Acting Dir ector of Communications at Ehsan, Wissam Mohammed Al Wissam, during the award ceremony held in Bahrain. Commenting on the occasion, Al Wissam said the award is an evidence that the center's efforts contribute effectively to achieving the sustainable development goals and enhancing the well-being of the society, especially for the elderly." Ehsan participated in international forum on sustainable economy with a working paper entitled "The Role of the Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) in Economic Empowerment of the Elderly", presented by Lahdan Sabah Al Kubaisi, a specialist in the Awareness and Community Communication Department at Ehsan. The paper shed light on Ehsan's role and the services it provides to the elderly, and touched on the center's role in enhancing economic empowerment of the elderly. Source: Qatar News Agency
