Doha: The curtain has fallen on the competitions of the second edition of the Al-Sajma Shooting Championship, organized by the Qatar Shooting Sports Club. The event featured the 25-meter air rifle competition for men, women, boys, and girls, held over three days at the Lusail Shooting Complex, with the participation of more than 300 amateur shooters from Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, in the men's competition, Mohammed Saeed Al Khawar won first place, Nasser Al Sunaid came in second place, and Wahid Masoud Sayed came in third place. In the women's category, Al Dana Al Marri came in first place, Nour Boufuttaim came in second place, and Jafla Mohammed Al Hajri came in third place.
In the youth category, Saeed Hassan Al Rashidi won first place, Talib Misfer Al Marri came in second, and Yousef Arar came in third. In the young women category, Mahra Al Shams won first place, Retaj Al Yafei came in second, and Maitha Al Shaiba came in third.
Holding such tournaments aims to promote the culture of competition and training in shooting among members of society, discover young Qatari talents in this sport, and hone their talents and skills to support the ranks of the Qatari national team for the game.
