A big fire broke out in the orchards of a border town, east of Diyala Governorate center.

The Director of Qazaniya district, Mazen Akram, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the fire broke out in 8 agricultural orchards, with an estimated area of more than 30 dunums, on the outskirts of Qazaniya district, east of Diyala.

He added that the fire devoured the agricultural orchards due to the delay in extinguishing the fire because there were no roads to the burning orchards, which prompted the concerned authorities to build alternative ways to reach and extinguish the fires.
