H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with the Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ken Saito.
During the meeting, which was held as part of Sheikh Abdullah's official visit to Japan, they discussed joint cooperation and ways of boosting them in the areas of agriculture and food security.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasised his keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation with Japan, pointing out that the UAE has recently appointed a Minister of State for Food Security. He also praised the huge development witnessed by the agricultural sector in Japan.
Minister Saito, in turn, welcomed Sheikh Abdullah's visit, stressing its importance in strengthening the partnership between the UAE and Japan, which will benefit the peoples of both countries.
The meeting was attended by UAE Ambassador to Japan Khaled Amran Al Ameri.
