Hamas announces the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in an Israeli raid in Tehran

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced the assassination of the movement's leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in an Israeli raid in the Iranian capital, Tehran. The movement said in a statement on Telegram that the movement's leader "died as a result of a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran, after participating in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian." Iranian media quoted the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as confirming the news of the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said: We are studying the dimensions of the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. And we will announce the results of the investigation later.
