Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stressed, today, Wednesday, the "necessity of preserving regional peace and stability and making every effort to do so." In a phone call with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Araqchi said that "Tehran is ready to respond strongly to any Israeli adventure," holding Israel and the United States responsible for any increase in insecurity in the region. The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed "the necessity for the United Nations to use all its capabilities to stop Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon," according to the Iranian "Tasnim" agency. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei said that "Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is visiting Jordan, Egypt and Turkey, as part of Iran's diplomatic communication with the countries of the region, with the aim of stopping the war and genocide in Gaza and Lebanon." The Iranian Revolutionary Guard targeted different parts of Israel with 200 ballistic missiles on October 1, as part of Operation True Pr omise 2, and 90% of these missiles hit the targets by bypassing the Israeli air defense, according to Tasnim News Agency. One of the targets of the operation was three Israeli air bases, Navatim, Khatsarim, and Tel Nof, among the main targets. In this operation, the Revolutionary Guard used the Qadr ballistic missiles with a range of 2,000 km, the Imad with a range of 1,700 km, and the Fatah with a range of 1,400 km. This was the first operation in which the Revolutionary Guard used the Fatah hypersonic missiles. Since September 23, Israel has expanded the scope of the war it is waging on Lebanon to include the capital Beirut through unprecedented air strikes, and it also began a ground incursion into the south despite international and UN warnings.
