A spokesman for the Iranian Permanent Mission to the United Nations expected that the Lebanese Hezbollah would change the "limits of its attack" on Israel. The spokesman said in a statement to the American CBS network that Hezbollah is still adhering to certain limits in its military operations and gives priority to military sites. The spokesman (whose name was not mentioned by the CBS network) indicated that he expects Hezbollah to choose broader and deeper targets in its response to the Israeli raid that targeted the southern suburb of Beirut. The spokesman expects that Hezbollah's attacks will not be limited to military targets and means alone. The world is awaiting a military response from Iran and Hezbollah to Israel after the latter was accused of assassinating the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran at dawn last Wednesday and adopting the assassination of the prominent Hezbollah leader, Fouad Shukr, in Beirut last Tuesday evening.
