Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani stated that his country forged relations and agreements with major international partners and financial institutions. Speaking during the inauguration of the 48th edition of the Baghdad International Fair on Saturday, Al-Sudani highlighted that as a significant step toward fostering promising partnerships, stronger cooperation, and collective efforts to address challenges and shape a path for economic growth, adding that foreign investments in Iraq have exceeded 60 billion dinars following economic reforms, reflecting investor confidence. According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Sudani pointed out that this year's fair coincides with Iraq's dynamic activity across various sectors, including economy, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, services, and energy. He added that the Development Road project will be a key transit corridor linking Asia to Europe through Iraq and the Middle East. The seven-day Baghdad International Fair kicked off on Saturday, with the p articipation of 1,000 companies from Arab and foreign countries. It coincides with the launch of Baghdad, the Arab Tourism Capital 2025.
