Israeli Airstrike on Southern Gaza Leaves 6 Dead

Gaza: Six Palestinians were killed and others injured Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike on the southern Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that two individuals were killed when an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle in the Musbah area of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. Ambulance crews recovered the body of another person who was killed after being shot by the Israeli occupation army in the Al Shakoush area, northwest of the city.

In Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, sources indicated that one person was killed in an Israeli drone strike in the Al Mawasi area. Additionally, a girl and a young man succumbed to injuries sustained on Monday due to Israeli occupation forces’ shelling and gunfire on the city.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported an increasing need for blood units in the Strip’s hospitals as the number of wounded from the ongoing Israeli bombardment continues to rise. The ministry highlighted that hospitals require 8,000 units of blood monthly to meet the needs of the injured, as well as patients with blood disorders and thalassemia.

In a statement, the ministry underscored the challenge of securing these blood units from donors, citing the lack of food, water, and medicine security among Palestinian citizens in Gaza. Earlier today, the ministry announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 50,144 martyrs and 113,704 wounded, most of whom are women and children.
