Meteorology Department Forecasts Hot Weather Daytime, Warning of Strong Wind

Doha: Weather inshore, until 6:00 pm on Monday, will be hot daytime, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. Offshore, conditions will be fine, the report added, warning of expected strong wind and high sea at northern areas afternoon.

According to Qatar News Agency, winds inshore will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 05-15 KT, gusting to 20 KT at places daytime, while offshore will be northwesterly at 05-15 KT, reaching 23 KT at northern areas afternoon. Sea conditions inshore are expected to range between 1-3 FT, and 2-4 FT offshore, rising to 7 FT at northern areas afternoon. Visibility, both inshore and offshore, will range between 5-10 KM.

Temperature variations are expected across different regions, with Doha experiencing a high of 39°C and a low of 28°C. Dukhan and AlKhor are forecasted to have similar high temperatures of 39°C and 40°C, respectively, with AlKhor expected to reach a maximum of 40°C. Other areas like Messaid and Wakrah will see highs of 38°C and 36°C, respectively. Abusamra is predicted to have the highest temperature, reaching up to 41°C, while Ruwais will have a cooler high of 32°C.

Tide schedules also vary, with high tides expected in Doha at 04:48 and 18:43, while low tides will occur at 01:31 and 12:06. The report also notes sunrise and sunset times, with sunrise at 04:55 LT and sunset at 18:05 LT.
