Migration Ministry announces the return of 1841 displaced persons from Dohuk camps to Sinjar

The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced the return of 1841 displaced persons from Dohuk governorate camps to Sinjar district in Nineveh. Minister Evan Faeq Jabro confirmed in a statement: "The return of (1841) displaced persons from Kabarto 1 and 2 camps in Dohuk governorate voluntarily to their original areas of residence in Sinjar district in Nineveh governorate, according to the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to end the displacement file and close the camps." Jabro explained that "the process of transporting families with their furniture was carried out in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and in coordination with the security forces and local administrations in Dohuk and Nineveh governorates." She directed that "families who have recently returned to Sinjar be included in the financial grants, relief aid, and durable goods (checks) and that all their needs be met quickly."
