The Ministry of Interior (MOI) called on the public to change their passwords periodically to ensure the confidentiality of banking information and secure their accounts from hacking.
The Ministry also called, on its official Twitter account, for not opening anonymous electronic links, and to activate the two-factor authentication (2FA).
The two-factor authentication feature is one of the most important methods used in securing accounts, as it adds an additional verification step to the user account login process. Instead of entering only the username and password to log into one of the accounts, a new and different code is sent to the user's phone to use every time s/he logs into his/her account.
