Captain Ali Ahmed al-Binali, Head of e-Services Section of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said that MoI is planning to add several new services to its Metrash2 app, including the issuance of residence permit (RP) to newcomers; a service provided to individuals and companies to issue their first time RPs and having them delivered to the designated address without the need to visit the Department.
Other services, such as eye test registration, renewal of vehicle registration and applying for family visits will soon be added to the Metrash2 app, he added.
Additionally, the most important services have been adapted to suit the visually impaired, by supporting the sound features of smart phones so that they can access the supported services without the need for assistance. This feature will be applied to all services to help such people.
