New Features Added to Google Photos Video Editor

Google announced the addition of new features to the video editor in its Google Photos app. These features are intended to facilitate video editing via new AI-based tools, allowing premium edits to be achieved in videos without much effort from the user.

Google said in a statement that the advantages expected in upcoming app updates include placing the preferred editing tools in the interface, making the editing process smooth and fast, and updating the shearing tool to become more accurate in order to cut the shots perfectly. Noting that it added an automatic optimization button that stabilizes video, reduces vibration and improves color quality at the push of a button, as well as a speed control tool to increase video speed or create slow-motion clips easily.

A prominent feature of the new update is "Presets, AI-based settings that can automatically cut video, adjust lighting and control speed, or apply effects such as the dynamic motion tracking effect of the main element, zoom in important moments, or easily work the slow shoot effect." The company revealed that the release of these features to the video editor would be gradual, without setting a timetable for their access to all users; Users were advised to update the Google Photos app to the latest version available to take advantage of those benefits as soon as possible.
