Omani FM Engages in Talks with Kuwaiti and UK Counterparts

Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi discussed in a phone call with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah the latest developments in the region, particularly regarding efforts to calm the situation, dedicate work to achieving political approaches, and prioritize dialogue and understanding while preserving the gains of regional security and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a similar call with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, the Omani Foreign Minister discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to defuse the escalation and push for political and diplomatic solutions to resume safe maritime navigation in the Gulf and through the Strait of Hormuz in support of global economic stability.

During the call, both sides affirmed the importance of continuing efforts to contain tensions and strengthen dialogue channels to consolidate regional and international security and stability.
