Doha: Germany's Oscar Moraing claimed the title of 1st Qatar Men's ITF World Tennis Tour organized by the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
In the final match of singles event held on Sunday, Oscar Moraing defeated Great Britain's Ryan James Storrie of 7-5 6-3.
In doubles event, Great Britain's Julian Cash teamed up with Denmark's Christian Sigsgaard to beat India's Saketh Myneni and Finland's Patrik Niklas-Salminen 6-4 6-4 in final match and claim the title.
The medal ceremony was attended by the QTF Secretary General Tareq Zainal and Tournament Director Saad Al Mohannadi.
Zainal congratulated the winners and stressed that the tournament featured a very thrilling competition among the participating players.
"The federation is committed to organize such type of tournaments to provide the Qatari players with the opportunity to develop their levels by competing with other highly-ranked players" he said.
The ITF Men's World Tennis Tour serves as the entry level for professional tennis as the results of ITF tournaments are incorporated into the ATP Ranking, which enables professionals to progress to the ATP Challenger Tour and, ultimately, the ATP Tour.
