Jerusalem: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday warned of the Israeli occupation’s approval of the construction of new settlement projects and roads in occupied Jerusalem and its surroundings.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Ministry said that these projects fall within the framework of the Judaization of Jerusalem, isolating it from its Palestinian surroundings and solidifying its annexation by force. It added that these steps are manifestations of the ongoing campaign of genocide, displacement, and annexation aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the international community’s failure to implement relevant United Nations resolutions has become a cover-up for the Israeli government to intensify its aggression, expand its settlement-building activities, and commit even more crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Ministry also warned against the severe risks posed by undermining the two-state solution and its catastrophic consequences on the conflict and the entire region. It called on the international community to take serious action to impose a political solution on the occupation government, as it is the only way to save the region from the cycle of wars and violence and to achieve regional security, stability, and prosperity.
