Qatar's beach volleyball team finished fourth after a 13-21, 16-21 loss to Anders Mol and Christian Sorum of Norway in their match on Saturday at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Qatar's team Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan took on defending champions Anders Mol and Christian Sorum in the bronze medal match on Saturday. Younousse and Tijan had lost to Sweden's David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig 13-21, 17-21 in the semi-finals for their first defeat in six matches played in Paris. In the final, Ahman and Hellvig will take on Germanys Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler. The duo qualified for the semifinals at the Paris Olympics 2024 after defeating the US duo Bartin Miles and Benish Andrew in straight sets 21-14 and 21-16 marking their fifth consecutive victory in the competition. This marks the Qatar's third consecutive participation in the Olympic Games. They aimed for a new milestone to add to their series of continental and global accomplishments, including winning gold medals at the Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang in 2018 and Hangzhou in 2022, as well as a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
