Prime Minister and Egyptian Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Developments

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelaaty. The conversation focused on bilateral relations and strategies to enhance them, as well as regional developments, specifically the ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Qatar News Agency, both officials emphasized the significance of de-escalation efforts to bolster security and stability in the region. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of all parties engaging in ongoing mediation efforts. He emphasized the necessity of addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue in order to achieve a sustainable agreement that prevents the re-ignition of tensions.
