Prime Minister and Turkish Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Mediation Initiatives

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani engaged in a phone conversation with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan to discuss bilateral relations and regional diplomatic efforts.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions centered on strengthening cooperation between Doha and Ankara. The conversation also focused on coordinating positions on ongoing mediation initiatives involving the Islamic Republic of Pakistan between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Both ministers emphasized efforts to support de-escalation in the region. They stressed the importance of diplomatic solutions to reduce tensions and promote stability.

HE Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the necessity for all parties to respond positively to ongoing mediation efforts. He advocated for addressing the underlying causes of the crisis through dialogue to achieve a durable settlement and prevent further escalation.
