Gaza Strip: Qatar Charity announced Monday the implementation of 26 humanitarian projects in various fields in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire began, ranging from comprehensive relief, food supplies, shelter, and the provision of non-food items, in addition to projects in the fields of education and health, in a move that reflects the State of Qatar’s commitment to continue providing steadfast support to the Palestinian people.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Charity indicated that since the ceasefire came into effect, huge convoys of humanitarian aid have been sent via the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Gaza Strip, including 504 trucks loaded with food, medical aid, and shelter supplies. This aid included more than 46,000 food parcels containing basic food items, in addition to more than 20,000 temporary shelter tents, and nearly 23,000 liters of diesel and 246,000 liters of gasoline.
Qatar Charity explained that 7 trucks loaded with aid were sent to the Gaza Strip via the West Bank, including huge shipments of fresh food supplies that contribute to providing fresh and necessary food for families in Gaza.
The number of trucks that entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Border Crossing from Egypt reached 125 trucks, 17,226 food baskets, and nearly 30,000 ready-to-eat parcels, in addition to large quantities of flour, baby milk, and various foods for children, in addition to more than 5,000 tents and all winter supplies, including blankets, mattresses, children’s clothing, and their various needs.
This aid comes within the framework of supporting the daily lives of Palestinians, especially children who are most vulnerable to suffering due to the difficult climatic conditions. These humanitarian efforts are part of the State of Qatar’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in all regional and international forums through this great and multi-faceted support, and a strong message in continuing humanitarian solidarity that confirms Qatar’s steadfast commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people in all circumstances.
