Qatar Meteorology Issues Warning for Strong Winds and Rough Seas

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of strong winds and poor horizontal visibility in some inshore areas, along with rough seas and strong winds offshore on Saturday. In its daily weather report, the Department highlighted that inshore conditions until 6:00 pm will be hot and slightly dusty to dusty at times, with blowing dust expected in some areas, becoming moderate by night. Offshore conditions are expected to remain fine.

According to Qatar News Agency, winds inshore will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds ranging between 12 and 22 knots, with gusts reaching up to 32 knots during the day. Offshore, winds will be northwesterly at 15 to 25 knots, gusting to 32 knots at times. Sea conditions inshore will range between 3 and 5 feet, while offshore seas are expected to reach between 4 and 8 feet, rising to 10 feet at times.

Visibility inshore will range from 4 to 9 km, dropping to 2 km or less in some areas during the day. Offshore visibility is expected to range between 5 and 9 km. The report provides detailed tide information, with high and low tides occurring at different times across various locations in the country, including Doha, Dukhan, Messaid, Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, and Abu Samra.

The temperature is expected to vary across the region, with minimum temperatures ranging from 27 to 29 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius, depending on the area. The sun is expected to rise at 04:45 LT and set at 18:15 LT.
