The State of Qatar assumed yesterday the presidency of the 42nd meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs that will convene in Doha on 25-26 January 2023, preceded by a preparatory meeting for top officials.

The agenda of the meeting includes many important topics related to the areas of family, childhood, rights of persons with disabilities and the elderly, social welfare and other issues.

Mr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) and Chairman of the 42nd meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, said that such an important meeting comes to embody the continuing joint coordination and cooperation to transfer expertise and knowledge between MSDF and its counterparts in the Arab States to benefit from distinguished experiences in protection and social care aspects.
