Doha: The State of Qatar has extended a welcome to the announcement by HE President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al Sharaa, regarding the formation of a new government. Qatar expressed its hope for the new government’s success in fulfilling its responsibilities and in fortifying the foundations of a state characterized by institutions, justice, and freedoms.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Sunday expressing Qatar’s eagerness to collaborate with the new Syrian government. The ministry emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between the two nations across different sectors to benefit the interests of both fraternal peoples. It highlighted Qatar’s backing for the new government in its efforts to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people for stability, development, and prosperity.

Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
