Qatar’s duo hit the sand running in Katara Beach Volleyball Open

DOHA, Qatar's Beach Volleyball team including Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tajin qualified to the last 24 round of the 2019 edition of Katara Beach Volleyball Open to conclude on Saturday.

Younousse and Tajin defeated Oman's Mazen Al Hashimi and Noah Al Golbobi 21-16 21-13 while Qatar B team including Tamer Abdulrasool and Mahmoud Issam suffered a straight set defeat at the hands of Polish duo Braille and Grzegorz Vijalik in group B clash.

The event is organized by the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village.

The tournament is bringing together 64 teams from 28 countries including Oman, Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Venezuela, USA, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Chile, Ukraine, Nigeria, Brazil, Slovenia and Qatar.
