Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 34.06 points, or 0.32%, as trading commenced on Tuesday, bringing the index down to 10,530 points compared to the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market's downturn was influenced by declines in six sectors. These included Transportation, which fell by 1.10%, and Real Estate, which decreased by 0.58%. The Insurance sector saw a drop of 0.30%, while both the Consumer Goods and Services, and Banks and Financial Services sectors experienced a decrease of 0.25%. The Industrials sector also saw a slight decline of 0.24%. Conversely, the Telecoms sector showed a positive performance, improving by 0.11%.
By 10:00 am, QSE recorded a turnover of QR 65.691 million, with 29.650 million shares traded across 3,803 transactions.
