Semifinals of QOC Beach Games to begin on Wednesday

DOHA- The semifinals of the second edition of 2022 QOC Beach Games will be staged on Wednesday at the Cultural Village Katara.

Lusail will take on Al Nosoor and Al Waab will meet Al Adaam in the semifinals of men's volleyball event while in Women's event, Al Ettihad Academy 2 will take on Al Moharebeen and Al Maha Academy will face Al Ettihad Academy 1.

The semifinals of basketball event will be also held on Wednesday as Infinity RM21 will take on Evo Basketball 7 while Lebanon will face Pro Sports Lebanon.

In Women's event, Pro Sports while take on Qatar Team B while Sports Lab will face Qatar Team A.

In Men's Beach Football event held on Monday, Al Wajba defeated Al Hilal 2-0 and Al Rowad trounced Al Zakhira 3-0 in Group (A). Al Mashab overpowered Grenta while Cedars defeated Nojoom Al Doha 3-0.

In Men's Beach Volleyball event, Al Nosour downed Al Merqab 2-0 while Al Waab overpowered Smeisma in the same score line in Group (A) while Lusail prevailed in their mouthwatering encounter with Lusail.

On the other hand, Al Maha defeated Al Ettihad Academy (A) 2-0 while Al Moharebeen edged past Al Ettihad Academy (1) in Women's event.

In Basketball event for Men's under 18 years, BTBW Team defeated EVO Trailblazers 8-7 while Junior Falcon Black downed Lebanese Pro Team 16-12 in Group (A).

In Group (B), Junior Falcon White overpowered Evo Tigers 13-9 and Hoops defeated Junior Falcons Red 11-9.

The Director of the QOC Strategy and Projects Department Fahad Ebrahim Juma lauded the huge success of the QOC Beach Game in its second edition stressing that the event comes in light of the sustainable legacy left by the ANOC World Beach Games held in Doha in 2019.

Director of the QOC Strategy and Projects Department reaffirmed the QOC commitment to boost the conception of legacy and sustainability through the local and community events as the QOC Sustainability Team has held a promotional campaign to highlight importance of sports events sustainability in the state of Qatar and to keep our beaches clean.

Juma also thanked the Qatari fans for attending and supporting the community events organized by the QOC.
