Manama, Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s unwavering support for continuous joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab cooperation and coordination to create new opportunities that would enhance progress and prosperity in the region.
In this regard, Al-Saleh praised the outcomes of the fraternal consultative meeting hosted by UAE President, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, with the participation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordanian monarch, His Majesty Abdulla II ibn Al-Hussein, and Egyptian President, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Shura Chairman affirmed the depth of GCC countries’ deep-rooted relations with Jordan and Egypt, noting that holding the fraternal consultative meeting, themed “Prosperity and Stability” reflects unwavering efforts to ensure the sustainability of joint Arab action and ensure the adoption of unified visions and stances that would support stability, peace and growth for GCC and Arab countries.
He praised the assertion of the leaders of GCC countries, Jordan and Egypt of their support for strengthening economic and developmental partnership, noting that the outcomes of the fraternal meeting constitute a roadmap for expanding fields of cooperation and complementarity.
He indicated that continuous consultative meetings among leaders are the cornerstone for bringing about more successes to joint GCC and Arab action, as they confirm unified stances and fundamental rules of good neighbourliness, respect for countries’ sovereignty and non-interference in their domestic affairs.
