Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri discussed in Beirut, on Monday, with the US special envoy to Lebanon Amos Hochstein, situation in Lebanon and enforcement of the UN resolution 1701 in the wake of the ongoing Israeli aggression. Following his meeting with Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Hochstein said after a month-long conflict no deal has been reached, emphasizing that the US Administration is bound by the UN resolution 1701 to resolve the conflict. Hochstein pointed out that the international community is committed to reconstruction and supporting the Lebanese army, stating that there is no discussion about amending the resolution 1701, but rather the possibility of enforcing it.
