The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced that the number of martyred journalists has risen to 163 martyrs since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on October 7. The announcement issued by the Media Office in Gaza today, Monday, came after the martyrdom of journalist and media affairs specialist, Haider Ibrahim. A medical source at Al-Awda Hospital in the central Gaza Strip announced yesterday, Sunday, that "Palestinian journalist Moatasem Ghrab and 4 others, including two girls, were martyred in an Israeli raid that targeted a house belonging to the Ghrab family north of the Nuseirat camp," bringing the number of journalist martyrs at the time to 162. This is not the first time that the Israeli occupation army has targeted journalists in Gaza during its ongoing war on the Strip since October 7, which has resulted in about 129,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing. The Israeli occupation continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza. Israel is also defying the request of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, to issue arrest warrants against its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and its Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, for their responsibility for "war crimes" and "crimes against humanity" in Gaza.
