The Minister Of Oil Discusses With His Turkish Counterpart Ways To Enhance Joint Cooperation

The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, met today, in Ankara, with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar.

A brief statement by the Ministry of Oil stated: "During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations in the oil and energy sector and ways to enhance areas of joint cooperation."

The Oil Minister, Hayan Abdul Ghani, arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Monday, on an official visit that lasts two days.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement: "The aim of the visit is to hold discussions related to developing bilateral relations, expanding horizons of cooperation in the field of oil, gas and energy, in addition to discussing the file of resuming Iraqi oil exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan."
