_:The Ministry of Planning holds a meeting to discuss financing and implementation mechanisms for the Development Road Project Baghdad, The Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, chaired today, Tuesday, a meeting devoted to discuss the mechanisms for financing and implementing the Development Road Project, in its various stages. The ministry stated in a statement, 'During the meeting, which was attended by the Prime Minister's advisor, Tamim stressed the exceptional importance of the development road project, and the great development addition it will achieve, as it will stimulate many joints and effective economic activities,' pointing out that 'this project will be integrated with the Global transportation network to achieve further growth for the economies of the countries of the region, and will contribute to achieving high economic feasibility for transporting goods and passengers via the railway line and land road that will connect the port of Al-Faw in the south, to the northern borders of Iraq, p assing through quite a few Iraqi cities and governorates, stressing the need to find funding sources required for this project. For his part, the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Strategic Affairs reviewed the stages of the development road, which begins from the port of Al-Faw, passing through Shuaiba, and up to the capital, Baghdad, all the way to the Iraqi-Turkish border, indicating the requirements of each of those stages, its financial costs, and the duration of completion of each one.'The Prime Minister's Advisor for Economic Affairs pointed out the importance of the economic and development road, which future generations will benefit from, and that this importance requires finding appropriate sources to finance the project,' indicating 'the presence of sections that need rehabilitation and maintenance to be ready, as well as the need to establish a dry channel for transporting goods.'
