Ramallah - Ma'an - The Palestinian Authority confirmed that all crossings with the Gaza Strip must be handed over and opened to it, and demanded that the Israeli attack on Gaza be stopped, according to the official Palestinian News Agency. The Palestinian Authority stressed, 'The Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and all of the territory of the State of Palestine, including East Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine, must be stopped immediately and permanently, including stopping the attacks of the occupation forces and settlers against the Palestinian people and their sanctities in the West Bank and Jerusalem.' She added, "The Palestinian leadership stressed the necessity of withdrawing Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, and handing over and opening all crossings with the Strip to the Authority in accordance with the signed agreements, including the crossings agreement of 2005, allowing the regular arrival of relief aid and all needs to the Gaza Strip." The Palestinian Authority stated that peace, security and stability can only be achieved through a political solution based on 'international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, ending the Israeli occupation and embodying the independent, fully sovereign State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, including East Jerusalem.'
