The Syndicate of Journalists calls on the heads of the Syndicate branches to activate their professional and media role and contribute to building and reconstructing Iraq

The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Head of the Arab Journalists Union, Moayad Al-Lami, called on the heads of the Syndicate branches in the governorates to work hard and sincerely to activate their professional and media role in the governorates, and expand the scope of their work to include districts and sub-districts in order to contribute effectively to building and reconstructing the country and its sovereignty and preserving its national unity, and to represent the Syndicate in the best way in their work arenas in a way that enhances its effective role in society. Al-Lami stressed, during the expanded meeting held at the headquarters of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in the presence of the heads of the Syndicate branches and its administrative bodies, the importance of highlighting the role of the Syndicate branches in cooperating with local governments in the governorates and practicing the supporting role to monitor and follow up on all matters that would improve the service, urban and soci al reality of the people of the governorate and highlight the positive aspects in the media. On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Adnan Al-Jahishi, a member of the House of Representatives and head of the Anti-Narcotics Committee, attended during his visit to the Journalists Syndicate, who praised the role of the Syndicate and the journalistic family in confronting this scourge that threatens society and exposes the future of its youth to danger, calling for concerted efforts and support for state institutions to combat drugs. Al-Jahishi expressed his pride and appreciation for the initiative of the Syndicate of Journalists to hold an expanded media conference, at the level of Iraq, sponsored by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and in which all ministries and concerned parties participate, to take practical measures to confront the danger of drugs and their promoters.
