Theater Affairs Center Hosts “Art of Acting” Workshop

Doha: The Theater Affairs Center, under the Ministry of Culture, organized a workshop titled "Art of Acting" with the participation of numerous theatre veterans, actors, theatre professionals, and enthusiasts in Qatar. The workshop, led and supervised by actor and theatre director Safwat Al Ghashm, aimed to explore acting techniques, enhance participants' acting skills, and examine the relationship between theatre and drama. In this context, artist Saad Bourshid commented that drama began in theatre during the Greek and Roman civilizations. Historically, after theatrical drama, cinema emerged before television drama. Even television drama came after radio drama, which originated before television, and it had a direct impact on all members of society. Safwat Al Ghashm noted that this workshop is a result of the recommendations from the 36th Doha Theatre Festival, the jury, critics, and the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture. The workshop spans an entire month, starting at the beginni ng of this month and continuing until early August, during which numerous young talents will be showcased. Source: Qatar News Agency
