Three soldiers wounded after being shot by a soldier at a shooting range of the Japanese army

The Japanese authorities announced that three members of the Self-Defense Forces (Japanese Army) were injured after a soldier shot them with a rifle at a shooting range of the Self-Defense Forces in Gifu, central Japan.

The Japanese police stated, according to Kyodo News Agency, that two of the three injured, in their twenties and fifties, are in critical condition after the accident that occurred this morning.

Police stated that the soldier who opened fire was 18 years old and was arrested at the scene on charges of attempted murder.

There were no reports of civilian casualties in the accident."
