Turkey and Kuwait sign 6 cooperation agreements between them

Istanbul, Turkey and Kuwait concluded today, Tuesday, 6 cooperation agreements between them in a ceremony in Ankara in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The signing ceremony of various agreements between the two countries came after the bilateral meeting between Erdogan and the Emir of Kuwait and the expanded meeting at the delegation level in the presidential complex in the capital, Ankara. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Investment Office of the President of the Republic of Turkey and the Kuwait Investment Authority regarding cooperation in investment promotion activities. Officials from the two countries also signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the fields of free zones, housing and infrastructure, and disaster and emergency management. An "executive protocol" was also signed regarding supply contracts in the defense industries, between the Defense Industries Authority of the Pre sidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense. The concluded agreements also included a memorandum of understanding on 'establishing a joint strategic dialogue' between the foreign ministries of the two countries. The Emir of Kuwait arrived in Ankara this afternoon on an official visit on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
