Turkish Defense: One Solider Killed in Northern Iraq

Turkish Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that a Turkish soldier was killed, due to explosion of an explosive device during an operation against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) organization in northern Iraq. The soldier was injured as a result of the explosion of an explosive device planted by militants in the area of Operation Claw-Lock. He died as a result of his injury after being transferred to the hospital, the Ministry said in a statement. Turkiye had launched Operation Claw-Lock in April 2022, with the aim of eliminating PKK members in Metina, Zap, and Avasin-Basyan regions in northern Iraq. Source: Qatar News Agency
