11 Palestinians Martyred in Israeli Shelling of Central Gaza Strip

Gaza: Eleven Palestinians were martyred and others injured in Israeli shelling of several areas in the central Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources in Gaza reported Wednesday that five citizens were martyred and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the vicinity of the Abdullah Azzam Mosque in Camp 5, north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In a separate incident, four Palestinians lost their lives and others were injured when the Israeli occupation bombed a charitable foundation distributing food to the needy and displaced people near the Al-Qassam Mosque in the center of the camp.

Additionally, two citizens were martyred and others injured in an Israeli shelling that targeted tents for displaced people west of the Al Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft launched an airstrike on a residential house on Al Eyada Street in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

A Palestinian was injured by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the town of Abasan Al Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has now reached 50,183 martyrs and 113,828 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip at dawn on Tuesday, March 18, after a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19. However, the occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire throughout the two months, continuing its bombing of various areas in the Gaza Strip, leading to more deaths and injuries.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation has refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and has tightened its blockade on the Strip, which is facing a severe humanitarian crisis.
