The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement: 'The forces of the Rapid Response Division Command in the Ministry of Interior arrested 12 defendants according to various legal articles, including drug trafficking, and the seizure of vehicles, motorcycles, and narcotic materials in the governorates of Baghdad and Wasit.' It added: "The operation was carried out in cooperation and participation with the leadership of the Federal Police Forces, the Directorate for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Wasit, and the Division's Intelligence Department, where the accused and the seized items were handed over to the requesting party.
