15 Arab Short Films Selected for Red Sea International Film Festival

The Red Sea International Film Festival (Red Sea IFF) released the complete line-up of films qualified in its fourth edition of the Arab Shorts Competition, which will be held from December 5 to 14 in Jeddah. Fifteen short films were selected, featuring talents from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Somalia, Sudan, Jordan, and Lebanon. These films highlight moving stories that embody a range of cultural, social, and personal scenes. Director of Arab Programs and Film Classics Antoine Khalife said, "this year's programme, includes truly brilliant films and talent, and reflects the caliber and maturity of the region's film and entertainment landscape." noting that the filmmakers presented powerful messages with an innovative cinematic vision by addressing diverse topics, with a presentation that combines absurdity and humor. Through the Arab Shorts Competition, Red Sea IFF supports and promotes new voices from the Arab world, nurturing a rich pool of talent and facilitating access to key stakeholders and growth opportunities.
