Federal Police forces arrested 16 suspects and seized unlicensed weapons in Baghdad. The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement: "The security efforts of the Fifth Division units of the Federal Police, with the support of the intelligence effort, resulted in the arrest of (16) suspects according to various legal provisions, including (murder, theft, quarrel, possession of weapons, forgery, and threats) in the areas of (Seven Palaces, Tariq neighborhood, Al-Intisar, Sadr City, Al-Basatin neighborhood, Al-Shaab) and the seizure of (a Kalashnikov rifle, 2 Bronco pistols, light ammunition, a sharp cutting machine), and within the regional search operations carried out by the division's detachments to search for unlicensed weapons in the areas of (Al-Intisar neighborhood, Al-Jarikhi) resulted in the seizure of (2 Kalashnikov rifles, 2 ammunition stores, 25 bullets). The suspects were referred with the seized items to the competent authorities in accordance with the law." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
